Refreshing salad packed with flavor of a dressing with olive oil, lemon, garlic, and mustard. Perfect for a BBQ or side dish for any occasion.

Ingredients:
3 Crowns of Broccoli
¼ Head of Red Cabbage (can use green cabbage too)
1 Medium Apple
½ Cup chopped Raw Almonds
5 Slices of Turkey or Regular Bacon (optional)
Dressing:
3 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
2 Cloves Garlic (about 1 tsp minced garlic)
2 Tbsp Dijon Stone Ground Mustard
1/8 tsp Himalayan Salt
Directions:
Wash broccoli and cabbage set aside.
Chop up almonds if not already chopped.
Heat up a small pan with tsp avocado oil for about 1 minute and add almonds to pan. Toast for 2-3 minutes stirring occasionally, cook till almonds are brown. Turn off heat and remove pan from burner to let cool.
If using turkey bacon or regular bacon chop up and cook till bacon starts to crisp up place on a plate with a few paper towels to soak up excess oil.
Finely chop up broccoli and cabbage add to a large bowl.
Slice and dice up apple add to broccoli and cabbage.
In a small container mix all dressing ingredients together and set aside.
Add almonds and bacon to bowl and combine all together. Pour half of dressing over salad and combine. Add in rest of dressing and mix well.
Cooking Tips:
If you are allergic or do not like almonds feel free to use any kind of raw nut.
